The UI design process: Design phase   Here we'll develop design directions and work on prototypes, which become more complete over time. This process is unique to each client.
Concepts and first prototypes   There are countless ways to design a product. Our initial presentation will be surrounding navigation and presentation of different features. We'll work with you to extract the best features from each segment.

Our interface designers start developing storyboard type treatments and will work in parallel with the interaction group until both paths are settled. At that point, we'll combine our work into a single prototype demonstrating both the look and feel.
Site map   We create a site map that outlines the flow of the software. Tools such as Visio and PowerPoint provide us with a way to review the structure before we invest time in design. Flow diagrams and maps with captions help to understand how each idea relates to the overall design.
Interactive prototypes   We create interactive prototypes, to give a feel of the product. This is most often done in C# or HTML, and can shorten the development time when the actual coding begins.
Review and refine   Design reviews give you the opportunity to bring up questions about the prototypes and how the design process is progressing. The number of design and review meetings is based on your schedule and the complexity of the project.
Combine UI and visual design   By this time, the visual design has progressed so we can combine it with the interactions and navigation. We now have a unified path to develop along.
Usability testing   There's nothing like watching real users work on your product. It's sometimes very humbling. We can run studies on anything from paper prototypes to finished software.
Completing the design.   Once we've met your requirements, we finish the design and write a spec at the appropriate level of detail as part of the Delivery Phase.
